Chairman's Message
Since its establishment in 1997, it has been my distinct honor to serve as the Chairman of Hayat Communications. Over the last 10 years we have been witness to a tremendous transformation in the way people live their lives.
As each year passes, it becomes more difficult to recall the contrast between before and after; fixed line and mobile; encyclopedias and the Internet. The pace of development can become both overwhelming and liberating.
What has set our company apart during this time, has been our belief in the principal that while the technologies evolve,locations shift and our numbers grow, the fundamentals remain the same: Good governance. Strong leadership. Technical expertise. And the right people.
Our people start each day working to meet not our needs, but your expectations. They understand that excellence is not an act, but a habit. Our management has continued to serve as a bridge between
our employees and the industry they serve. Their leadership has allowed the experience of working here to be not just a job, but an education.
As Chairman, it has been my duty to steer this organization towards creating not only profit, but also value. In that spirit, in March of 2006, Hayat Communications successfully completed its private placement with the hopes of allowing others to share in what we have so carefully nurtured for the past decade.
This exercise has been a resounding success and the response from our shareholders has been humbling. To them, I promise a continuation of matching our ambitions with our commitment.
So as we approach the future, one day at a time, I ask you to join us in our ascent. We aim to make the coming years as adventurous as the previous 10. For the continued opportunity to fill this chair, I am truly grateful.
